His role as the vocalist, guitarist and composer for the band Rockfeller's marked a significant milestone in the Mozambican rock scene.
The band garnered fame, performing over 200 shows and thrilling audiences of more than 10,000 in venues across the country, earning numerous accolades along the way.
Throughout his illustrious career, Xavier Machiana has had the privilege of sharing stages with iconic artists such as Bono Vox (U2), Sandra St. Victor, Kool & The Gang, UB40 and many others, enriching his musical journey with valuable experiences and insights.
Xavier Machiana has enchanted audiences with captivating singles such as "GRACE," "PUSH!," and "SERA?", all produced by João Carlos Schwalbach at Ekaya Productions. These tracks feature exceptional collaborations with renowned artists like John Caban and Eli Menezes, showcasing Machiana's diverse musical range. Notably, he teamed up with fellow musician Tete on the single "LUGAR," produced by Rui Pinto Martins, further cementing his position in the industry.
As the founder and lead vocalist of the band INDIGO BLUE, Machiana has brought together a collective of six talented individuals, each contributing unique cultural and musical influences. On stage, INDIGO BLUE delivers a mesmerizing blend of Rock, Jazz, Gospel, Soul, and infectious Funk, captivating audiences with their dynamic performances.
